Default Settings

The default prompt settings will be applied to all new chats that you create.

PAYG-AI gives you the ability to set default settings that will be applied to new chat sessions.

Tip

You can override the default settings for each chat in the chat settings.

Changing settings

Temperature

The temperature tells the LLM model how close to stick to your input prompt when it responds.

If you set a low temperature it will be very conservative to the point of often providing the same response to the same question each time you ask it. These types of responses are useful when you require technically accurate responses such as coding questions.

If you set the temperature higher, it will be looser in it’s responses, this is better for things such as creative writing

The value of temperature is between 0 and 1 in 0.1 increments.

Max tokens

The Max Tokens setting tells the model the maximum number of tokens (words) to respond with. This is useful when you would prefer short to the point answers, where otherwise the model respond with a lot of detail that you don’t want.

System Prompt

The system prompt gives the model some initial context to model about the persona it should take on and how it should respond. The default system prompt is you are a helpful assistant. This setting can be very useful in situations where you want to always set default rules for the model to follow. Some examples are

### Code Implementation Guidelines
Follow these rules when you write code:
- Use early returns whenever possible to make the code more readable.
- Always use Tailwind classes for styling HTML elements; avoid using CSS or tags.
- Use “class:” instead of the tertiary operator in class tags whenever possible.
- Use descriptive variable and function/const names. Also, event functions should be named with a “handle” prefix, like “handleClick” for onClick and “handleKeyDown” for onKeyDown.
- Implement accessibility features on elements. For example, a tag should have a tabindex=“0”, aria-label, on:click, and on:keydown, and similar attributes.
- Use consts instead of functions, for example, “const toggle = () =>”. Also, define a type if possible.

You should accertain the all the facts from the user before providing advice, asking questiosn where necessary to identify any errors in the way the letter or charge has been issued that may provide mitigation for the user.
